Sustainable Ballard Edible Garden Tour

10 am - 3 pm   $10/Adult at the event
Ballard Community Center, 6020 28th Ave NW
Our goal is to educate and inspire folks to grow food by giving examples of creative uses of parking strips, containers, raised beds, bee houses, chicken coops, goats, fruit trees, berries and more!  Meet the gardeners and ask questions.  The tour includes more than a dozen gardens to explore within walking distance of the Ballard Community Center, including a lovely edible raingarden installed by Stone Soup Gardens.  For more information visit the Sustainable Ballard Website.

Seattle Tilth Chicken Coop and Urban Farm Tour
Saturday, July 16, 2016
10 am - 4 pm
Throughout Seattle - Purchase Tickets Here!
Stone Soup Gardens will be hosting again this year at one of our favorite events!  Come and visit to see our fabulous coop, our lovely birds, and our continuously changing landscape.  We'll feature hugelculture beds, edible landscaping, a cistern, arborduct, and a laundry greywater system.  It is a great time to glean great ideas from creative neighbors who are incorporating animals and gardens into their home landscapes! In this self-guided tour, you will see simple chicken coops built in an afternoon and elaborate finely-crafted coops that took weeks of planning and building.  For more information, visit the Seattle Tilth Website, and check out the feature about Stone Soup Gardens at last year's coop tour HERE.
