Chicken cuddling, native plant loving, and garden planning weekend!

4/28/2016

This weekend!

Come visit Stone Soup Gardens and our mobile chicken coop at the May Tilth Edible Plant Sale.  It is an awesome event full of purchasable plant starts, native trees and shrubs, community, and of course, chicken cuddling.

Come rain or come shine, we'll be there to provide a chicken bright spot to your day!

April 30 - May 1
9 am - 3 pm
Meridian Park
4649 Sunnyside Avenue N, Seattle

Don't forget to bring something to haul your plants home in!

Seattle Channel City Stream: Seattle Tilth Edible Plant Sale

4/21/2016

Hey!  Jake Harris of Stone Soup Gardens was featured on the Seattle Channel!  Watch the video to find out more about what the Tilth Edible Plant Sales have to offer, including classes, native plants, organic vegetable starts, and camaraderie with your gardening community! Learn how easy it is to grow your own garden, and how effective it can be in creating a collective impact on our lovely Puget Sound.  One raingarden, one vegetable garden, and one cistern at a time!

The next Tilth Plant Sale is in May, you can find out more on our Education Page, or by visiting the Seattle Tilth Website.

Welcome to the world, Luna Leah!

Stone Soup Gardens is proud, excited, elated, and overjoyed to announce the arrival of our newest family member and daughter, Luna Leah!

Emma was a rockstar and delivered this little gem, with the help of me, of course, on April 7th at 4:05pm.  She has Emma's ears and my feet!

I'll be out of the office for a couple of weeks while we settle in and get situated with Luna, but Patrick and the rest of the crew are still hard at it.

Thanks to my awesome SSG crew for looking after things while I spend some time with my sweet new family!

This is how Stone Soup Gardens rolls - check out our blog for current, upcoming, and past projects, events, and other super cool stuff worth mentioning.
