This month Stone Soup Gardens Chicken Coop is featured in the Seattle Tilth Way to Grow Newsletter, and on the Seattle Tilth blog!! Emma and I were interviewed about keeping a flock of lovely ladies in the city in their 'Portrait of an Urban Farmer' feature. It's just in time for the Tilth Coop Tour!
Our coop will be included in this year's tour. If you made it last year, you know we installed raised hugelcultur beds, showcased our massive mushroom patch, and had a food forest scavenger hunt! This year we will be featuring our new cistern and kiwi arbor, a new paint job on the house, as well as our newly installed greywater system from washing machine to mushroom patch. We've also installed lots of new edible plants in the yard, and would love to show you our fabulous new feathered friends. Be sure to stop by and say hello while you take your trip on the Seattle Tilth Urban Farm and Coop Tour! WHAT: Seattle Chicken Coop and Urban Farm Tour WHEN: July 11, 2015 WHERE: Various locations throughout Seattle For more information, visit Seattle Tilth! Do have your tickets yet? Get tickets today! We had a nice little mention in this Spring's P-Patch post. Judkins P-Patch is a wonderful place for growing veggies and community. For more information about Judkins P-Patch, take a peek at their Facebook page.
